Job Description

The Consulting family forms part of the Business/Function Consulting track within the IT function. It contains positions whose primary role is to partner with business units or functional groups to clarify and communicate business requirements, assuring products and services are aligned with business needs. Incumbents become business or function specialists and can be technology generalists or specialists, providing an array of services such as business process improvement, priority-setting facilitation, project definition or design, and broker IT and contract services.

As an Experienced Business Analyst, you will provide support to PPG’s cross business units as a liaison to those unit leaders.  Providing guidance and solutions to their unique needs by leveraging your experience. Conducting and analyzing business and information technology processes to prepare the essential groundwork for process or application changes. Ultimately you identify opportunities to apply technologies to business processes to increase growth and or efficiency. 

The BA would work in the ClientLink tool (SAP C4C) supporting the Sales and Service side of the product. The BA would work closely in conjuction with the Product Owners, Technical Architecture group and Business SMEs to continue to enhance and improve on the product with a focus on value-added changes

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of business solutions.
Identify customer requirements, develop test schedules, review testing plans, and track and document the development and results of these plans.
Alert project managers and advise on options to potential risks and issues of importance.
Uncover client requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling and workflow analysis, data modeling, and object modeling.
Focus on business process engineering while managing projects and are responsible for the overall implementation and execution of project and performance criteria, maintaining full knowledge of all phases of business­ specific technology implementations.
Seek ways to apply technology and business process engineering techniques to improve business processes. 
Conduct research and provide information on business trends, technical advances, and competitors' practices relevant across PPG businesses and/or geographies.
Assess future needs, using structured interview processes to establish business priorities; consult with technical subject matter experts (such as Systems Consultants and Project Managers) and develop alternative technical solutions.
Provide advice on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
Deliver solutions that adhere to PPG’s methodology and architectural standards.  Including delivery of system & user documentation. 

Qualifications:

Experience in Digital Marketing tools.
Specific knowledge of the SAP Marketing Cloud is highly desirable. Working knowledge of another other Digital Marketing tool will be considered as an alternative.
BS/BA degree in Digital/IT related field or Business, or equivalent work experience is required.
5-7+ years of experience in Digital/IT, business process or consulting roles with a track record of successful project implementation.
Experience in the strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business.
Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills; a demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all manage­ment levels.
Ability to be comfortable in a nonhierarchical, flat organization and, if required, operate under a dual reporting relationship; ability to thrive in a somewhat unstructured hands­ on environment that demands a consultative approach and solutions that span multiple environments in a business area
