Job Summary
This senior level position provides ServiceNow knowledge in developing, troubleshooting, and guidance under broad supervision, to business users and IT users to provide creative development and resolutions to IT related challenges.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Performs advanced troubleshooting and resolutions for the ServiceNow application.
Analyzes problems to enhance business productivity by providing technical advice, solutions or process recommendations.
Regulates security access following established procedures to safeguard information.
Considers business implications of new technologies to the current business environment.
Designs, develops and implements IT strategies, processes, and procedures in the ServiceNow platform.
Develops and supports business relationships with IT project teams and business customers.
Executes projects at the enterprise level to ensure adherence to project plan methodologies.
Consults with management and makes recommendations for new processes, procedures and developments based on business requirements.
Recommends policy, procedures and changes to technology solutions.
Provides work leadership and training to less experienced administrators.
Performs other duties assigned.
Job Specific Skills
Advanced understanding of ServiceNow workflow, proficiency in JavaScript
Ability to create workflows using more advanced activities such as REST, PowerShell, and JDBC
Exposure and experience to a broad mix of ServiceNow Modules, i.e., ITSM, ITOM, ITBM.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Advanced ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
Ability to analyze basic problems to develop and evaluate options as well as implement solutions.
Ability to preserve confidentiality and work with sensitive data.
Advanced ability to communicate written and verbally with all levels of co-workers, customers, and external contacts.
Advanced ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines.
Education
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - IT, MIS, Computer Science or related field
Experience
Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience
