Position Overview

Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

* Lead efforts between Kiewit Field personnel and Home Office departments where necessary to maintain accurate and current account reconciliations
* Lead efforts in all areas of reconciliations and processing of intercompany invoices as the work volume requires and anticipatesd departmental needs
* Perform quarterly investment entries and schedules
* Prepare FLUX analysis and quarterly schedules for Project and Financial Accounting review
* Prepare monthly journal entries as needed
* Assist team with responding to internal and external customer questions and concerns
* Build and document department processes, procedures and efficiencies
* Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement; collaborate with internal and external partners to increase efficiencies
* Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers; understand Kiewits core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues
* Reliable and consistent attendance
* Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement
* Perform other job related tasks as needed or assigned

Qualifications

* 3-5 years of relevant experience
* Bachelors degree in Accounting
* Knowledge of basic accounting functions
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to think analytically and apply a process of problem identification, solution development, and implementation
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; clearly conveys messages and ideas, gains understanding; generates interest and holds attention, listens and is open to the ideas of others
* Leadership skills including relationship building, coaching, collaboration, team-building, problem solving and decision-making
* Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done
* Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision in a fast paced, high volume environment
* Excellent organization and time-management skills; ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish daily work and projects
* Ability to understand and follow corporate policies and applications of GAAP (or other regulations)
* Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
* Excellent customer service and collaboration skills; ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization
* Previous SAP experience preferred
