Job Description
In this role, you will:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Become proficient in Glad data management and specification systems to support commercialized products and new product launches
Analyze and Interpret technical and consumer data to drive understanding, troubleshoot formulation/process or performance issues, and make recommendations that drive efficiency, foundational understanding, and manage risk.
Lead consumer comment trending and partner with R&D peers to grow modeling efforts; develop prototypes to explore new technology, sustainability improvements, and consumer benefits.
Lead R&D support of Consumer Call Center through preparation for and support of new product launches, response to consumer escalations, and monthly complaint reporting.
Pursue new/optimized ways of working to continue efficient business support.
Leverage internal and external network of stakeholders and suppliers to drive new concepts for innovation for Food Protection and International businesses.
Lead, design and execute project work against Charter objectives, leveraging consumer understanding and knowledge of formulation/performance.
Collaborate closely with other functional areas involved in development, including packaging, Project Management, and cross-functional partners such as Marketing, Sales, Human Insights, Regulatory, Legal, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Procurement.
Mentor junior scientists/technicians.
What we look for:
BS in Chemical Engineering, Packaging, Chemistry, Material Science, etc. or equivalent industry work experience.
4+ years Product, Process or Packaging experience. Product / Process launch experience preferred, especially in the Consumer goods industry.
Strong technical curiosity and creating problem-solving skills; experience with data analysis tools preferred.
Sound technical judgment to influence team and business direction.
Ability to work independently and implement multiple projects in a timely manner.
Excellent organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment.
