Metrology Technicians utilize metrology calibration systems and techniques to measure characteristics of objects based on applied principles of measurement science. They performs measurement surveys using Photogrammetry, Total Stations, Laser Trackers, CMM’s or other electronic 3D instruments. Use 3D model based software and design drawings to plan and execute the measurement survey including the analysis of the collected data to the end user. Develops, coordinates, and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design. This position will recommend design or test methods utilizing metrology methodologies for the achievement of product reliability. Compile and analyze measured data reports, includes analysis of relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. May utilize Visual Basic to enhance the functionality of 3D measurement software.
Basic Qualifications
Apprentice Certification, Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in relavent field and 1 year of related experience
