POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sr Strategy Manager of CK North America and supporting the VP and Executive work-streams. The Strategy Analyst/ Sr Analyst is responsible for analyzing and identifying new growth opportunities for CALVIN KLEIN, as well as supporting strategic financial and operational initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Support in developing, analyzing and prioritizing potential opportunities in all areas of the business, including brand, product, marketplace, distribution, channel, geography, and operational strategies.
Develop quantitative and qualitative content for ongoing strategies and deliverables such as monthly business updates, strategy meetings, Board of Director updates, and executive off-sites.
Bring an analytical foundation to all work; partner across the organization to create initiative-specific and ongoing analytics; define initiative scope, success metrics, and high-level milestones.
Collect and analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, translate into strategic and actionable insights for the business, develop recommendation for the business and build roadmap to execution.
Assist in the implementation of initiatives through project management, tracking of progress and key performance indicators, as well as identification and mitigation of project risks.
Gain in-depth knowledge of operations of the CK global business and the PVH organization. Develop a strong understanding of industry and market trends, competitive intelligence and consumers.
Provide ad hoc analysis and project management as assigned.
Requires occasional international travel to all Calvin Klein commercial offices.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in a combination of investment banking/finance, consulting, and/or strategic business partner role (to include merch planning, merch strategy, marketing strategy/ops, buying) required.
Strong strategic financial and business analysis experience.
Understanding of the apparel/fashion industry including bricks-and-mortar, ecommerce, and preferably wholesale channels.
Proven ability to lead critical strategic initiatives from definition to execution in a complex, matrixed organization, marrying both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Experience operating in international markets; an understanding of non-US business operations and comfort traveling to and communicating with international stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, Business Administration, Economics, Finance preferred.
