Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Quality Engineer for a position in Orlando, FL to conduct Systems & Software Quality Engineering (SSQE) Common Processes that are aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI), and Customer Requirements. These processes will develop, test, field, and maintain Operational Flight Program (OFP) code and models and simulations (M&S) for the Air Dominance Weapons Systems (ADWS) Line of Business
This role requires interface with systems and software development personnel, test engineering personnel, quality engineering personnel, and program managers
Must work well in a team environment, have excellent customer interface and presentation skills, have effective interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively. The candidate is expected to quickly come up to speed with the SSQE work scope, technical requirements, risks, and delivery milestone schedule. The SSQE responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Review and approve systems engineering, software engineering, and test equipment engineering requirements, design and test documentation for compliance to requirements
Evaluate validation plans, process flow diagrams, test cases, and standard operating procedures
Identify root causes and associated corrective actions and evaluate process/product performance
Interface with the engineering counterparts to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual and company requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering degree in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field at the Bachelor level or above
Must have at least a SECRET security clearance granted within the last 6 years
Experience with the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) model
Experience with Software Engineering and ability to read and understand software code
Software Quality or Software Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design / Development, Product Integration and Test
Good understanding of software dependencies, process flow and development methodologies
Understanding of test protocols including identification and resolution of non-conformances / deviations.
Knowledge of Software Configuration and Data Management
Audit experience to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and industry standards
Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, and Contracts that will enable development and review of Systems and Software Products and related performance metrics
Desired Skills:
Experience interfacing with customers (Defense Contract Management Agency and Program Office) and program personnel on quality related issues
Experience with Agile Software Development
Test Equipment development knowledge/skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Lean Six Sigma and/or green belt training
