Description:
- The Data Management Support position will provide database development, coding and data analytical support to the following programs as part of the integration of the EtQ Reliance; Aviation Safety Operations, Fleet Safety, Aviation Safety Investigations, Development Programs Safety, Foreign Object Damage prevention and Tool Control, and Safety Management Systems.
- Additionally, this position will:
Organize, analyze and maintain the data collected from diverse sources.
Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Filter and clean data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Develop/maintain data dictionary by revising and entering definitions.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains user reference by writing and rewriting database descriptions and updating processes and developing standard work.
Provide basic department administrative functions which include calendar scheduling, electronic filing, travel/expense support, budget coordination, data entry, human resource updates, webpage design and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge in database systems, programming / coding and analytics.
Experience in new software implementation and configuration, including developing requirements, and liaising with IT professionals.
The ability to accommodate changing priorities on a daily basis is a must.
Refined communication skills a must.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and clearly communicate requirements to design, manufacturing and management personnel.
Requires good PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products as well as programming in JAVA, Python and HTML.
- Ability to develop and manage complex, technical databases.
- Strong logical, assessment and interpretation skills.
- Excellent planning and administrative abilities.
- High level of proficiency in database development and management, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint is essential.
- Preparing / updating reports, summaries, charts, and other materials for management and executive level briefings.
- Proficient in database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (MS Access, SQL etc), programming (XML, Python, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should have a strong interest in aviation.
- Candidates must have a solid technical background
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
