Senior Financial Analyst

Huntsman’s Performance Products Division is now searching for a Senior Financial Analyst who will consistently apply very strong analytical skills in resolving financial matters for the business. Ability to break complex problems into more manageable elements, understand big picture for performance improvement, and communicate figures to all levels within the business.

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will:

Provide support to the Americas regional business to drive profit awareness.  Ensure the quality, completeness, timeliness, and availability of information and data.
Manage the FP&A process in the Americas region: includes supporting monthly forecast reviews with commercial leaders, variance analysis against forecast and budget, prepare monthly re-forecasts and annual budget.
Expert user of reporting systems including Planning Analytics, SAP and Power BI
Communicate targeted financial information to the business teams to deliver improved value.
Transition the region towards a more streamlined and paperless approach to reporting.
Work on value adding initiatives to sustain the operating performance of the business.  Provide monthly updates on progress of improvement initiatives.
Drive cost to serve/profit awareness within the business team to maximize earnings.
Use financial decision-making tools and analysis to investigate and recommend actions in line with business strategy.
Promote financial awareness and understanding of key business drivers.  Translate adopted business strategy into financial plans and develop appropriate KPI’s.
All activities will be conducted in alignment with policies, procedures and in a way to promote a safe working environment. 
Compliance with all SOX and US GAAP requirements.
Contribute to Ad Hoc business request and projects.

Skills and experiences required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years relevant experience in financial analysis.
MBA, CPA, or other professional certification plus.
Strong data orientation and alignment.
Solid business insight and understanding.
Working knowledge of ERP system including SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with IBM (Planning Analytics and TM1) preferred.
Experience with SAP Web Intelligence preferred.
