Description

The position is an Advisor level role responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure Production, Revenue, and Compliance (both tax and regulatory reporting) are supported effectively; systems are set up efficiently and accurately to minimize manual work while delivering correct and timely financial results, owner payments, and reporting obligations. The role must be able to adapt to the dynamic environment of Oil and Gas accounting.

Your responsibilities may include:

Coordinate with all PRA supervisors and directors
Group wide initiatives
Explore Data Analytics opportunities
Heritage System Strategies
Continuous System improvements
Participation in Robotics / Automation
Regulatory changes
Accounting for acquisitions and divestures
Participation in complex accounting set up, testing, and implementation
Liaison with IT, Division Order and Product Supply
Assist with various Process Improvement Initiatives
Attend and participate in meetings with peers from outside companies
Assist with the preparation and delivery of training curriculum for PRA personnel
Assist and / or lead ad hoc requests and special projects

Basic/Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination, or ConocoPhillips approved accommodation, required
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance or foreign equivalent
8+ years of accounting or finance experience

Preferred:

5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
1+ years of experience interacting with all levels of an organization including management
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 5% of the time on a yearly basis
Basic understanding of E&P field operations
Basic knowledge of various systems, current and prior: SAP PRA, SAP FI, Business Objects, Spotfire, etc.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word
Strong consulting, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
Self-starter that does not require extensive supervision
CPA preferred with strong Oil and Gas production, revenue, and regulatory accounting knowledge
Works well independently and as part of a team; ability to establish strong working relationships with team members and with customers
Strong project management skills; ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple priorities
Client focused, proactive, and results oriented
Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right
Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
