FUNCTION OVERVIEW:
Lead all activities associated with materials labor utilization. Using strong data analysis, this position will own all costing and projects around continuous improvement, as well as the efficient use of the materials group human resources.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide ways/methods to eliminate all types of waste in the material handling process
* Ensure all new processes efficiently integrate into operations
* Own all line balances and labor utilization for the Materials group
* Drive continuous improvement though detailed analytics
* Support Whirlpool Production Systems (WPS) implementation by providing leadership to continuous
* improvement group.
* Drive materials to achieving short/long term labor productivity targets
* Lead/direct a small staff of hourly Team Members in project work and professional development
* Align projects with peer Support Departments to meet plant-wide performance objectives
* Respectful observation/documentation of current labor utilization for continuous improvement
* Present findings in Google suite applications
* Thorough Stakeholder analysis for effective change management
* Shop floor focus with effective communication skills to engage Team Members for improvement opportunities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Operations or Engineering
* 5+ years of continuous improvement reporting experience within a manufacturing plant (examples include, but not limited to: Yamazumi charts, Value Stream Mapping/Plan Due Check Act (PDCA) templates)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors in Industrial Engineering
* World Class Manufacturing (WCM) background
* knowledge of the use of advanced material handling techniques
* Understanding of Lean manufacturing, with an emphasis on Value Streams and Standardized
* SAP and costing experience
* Communication, conflict management, coaching, interpersonal and team building skills
* Data analytical skills
