Job Description

SUMMARY

Verifies receipt of and performs a damage inspection on new vehicles delivered to the dealership. Parks vehicles in the new and pre-owned vehicle lot in an orderly manner. Moves and cleans vehicles, keeps the vehicles in sound working condition, helps and assists management as requested.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice.
Inspects vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice.
Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt.
Parks new vehicles in assigned areas.
Maintains emissions sticker logs and sticker placement for all new vehicles.
Catalogs and stores keys.
Assigns stock control numbers to cars and properly tags vehicles and keys.
Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.
Cycles aged new vehicle inventory to the main focal point of the lot.
Assist Used Car manager with pre-owned vehicle display and on lot marketing.
Delivers sold vehicles to the preparation department.
Assist with preparation of sold vehicles for delivery or show.
Assist with all aspects of dealer trade vehicles (transport, stocking, etc)
Services vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery and finish against deterioration.
Arranges and prepares wholesale units for auction.
Keeps showroom and sales lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the management and in accordance with dealership display standards.
Perform requested lot duties related to seasonal weather requirements.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Maintains SRC and customer vehicle appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles.
Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs of completed service vehicles.
Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris of completed service vehicles.
Perform requested lot duties related to seasonal weather requirements.
Keeps service drive, shop, and service drive neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the management and in accordance with dealership display standards.
Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas.
Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
Assists with Valet/Service Greeter duties when directed my management.
