Summary:

The duties of this role include:

Provide Finance expertise in Hershey’s Global IBM space and participate in special projects related to various areas including, M&A, BoD, FP&A activities, IBM / Process designs
Support the strategic vision and plan for Hershey’s Integrated Business Management (IBM) continued evolution
Audit and evaluate all market IBM processes for adherence to prescribed design
Utilize process evaluation tools to understand root causes & opportunities in market processes
Recommend activities to IBM country coordinators to ensure consistency and drive continuous improvement for the Global organization
Coach teams on installing recommendations after audits are complete
Coach and influence market leaders to leverage the IBM process to surface issues, make decisions, commit to actions, and communicate to the larger organization
Mentor owners and participants in the various reviews to ensure behaviors are supporting maturity growth in Hershey’s Integrated Business Management process
Serve as a backup to the IMBR and GMBR activities including pre-meetings with Executives

Responsibilities:

50%:  Provide financial support and business expertise across IBM space and participate in special projects in Finance (M&A, Corporate FP&A, BoD, etc.) and IBM

20%:  Collaborate with market leadership to leverage IBM to surface significant business opportunities, make decisions, commit to actions, and communicate priorities to the larger organization.  Plan and supporting initiatives

15%:  Audit markets using a formal tool to ensure continuous improvement of the current market and implement supporting KPIs

15%:  Assist in new implementations of Integrated Business Management around the world and drive continuous improvement for existing IBM processes utilizing the process evaluation tool. Work directly with market leaders and managers to clarify roles and responsibilities, assess organizational capabilities and lead change efforts.     

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

Functional Skill Requirements

Strong Finance, process orientation and internal/external consulting preferred

Strong ability to interface effectively with senior management both verbally and in writing
Deep understanding of financial statements and ability to model complex business situations’ impact on them
Demonstrated skills in interacting, coaching, and influencing at various levels of an organization and across multiple cultures.
Demonstrated decision making skills while living the Hershey Values
Excellent financial, analytical, problem solving and storytelling skills
Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong negotiating, consensus and team skills
Understanding of business processes across Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Marketing, particularly as they relate to achieving Company goals
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and manage multiple activities/projects

Participate in a formal business process redesign and implementation
Create and deliver change management to drive process adoption

Design, implement, and audit processes and controls

P/(L) and B/S Improvement

Conduct financial analyses to drive day-to-day decision making
Meet financial targets of annual or strategic plan by managing risks and opportunities
Develop recommendations to optimize cash flow, return on investment, and allocation of resources in alignment with enterprise strategies

Business Partnership & Communication

Build reciprocal relationships with business partners through various communication channels
Partner with business unit to develop actionable insights from financial data and analytics
Define and recommend smart investment choices and tradeoffs
Create a narrative that influences business partner to make informed decisions that drive balanced, profitable growth
Present a narrative that is tailored to the audience to drive decisive decision making
