Weighing up micros based on formulation and the batch ticket. Must have knowledge of products, codes, warehouse layout, forklift operation, pallet jack, quality specifications of shelf life of our products, storage and packing procedures. Good housekeeping at all times.
Duties-Required Skills
1. Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values
2. Daily weighing of micros to formulation specifications, daily reconcile of accountable drugs and premixes. Able to lift 55lbs. Legibly fill out paper work when micros are made and ensure correct amount weighed is documented. Daily housekeeping. Uses hand truck / forklift, pallet jack
3. Practice good customer service procedures as required by company customer service guidelines. Guidelines includes being prompt/courteous, unloading customer’s trucks according to ADM AN procedures - following drug receiving SOP
4. Work as team player in the quality process. Notify Plant Management, Quality and Food Safety Coordinator as necessary, if any out-of-spec quality conditions exist. Assure product is properly weighed, in proper packages, and coded / tagged correctly. Must have adequate quality training.
5. Communicate effectively with Production Manager or QA regarding product counts, quality of packaging when using or receiving product
6. Ability to operate a fork truck proficiently - in safe manner
7. Housekeeping in Micro room and East Micro warehouse to be performed according to the ADM, Springfield Plant Housekeeping plan. Other duties to be completed as assigned
8. Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment all times (i.e. fork truck, etc.) in manner so not to harm yourself, your fellow employees, the equipment or plant structure. Follow all established safety rules
9. Work overtime as required
10. Perform other duties assigned by the Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager or Warehouse or any other lead Person
11. Fill out necessary paperwork properly, including but not limited to, Daily micro - reconciling paperwork - needs to be done correctly to follow traceability protocol.
12. Provide training as necessary to new employees / lesser skilled employees when opportunities arise
13. Must be able to easily lift materials, as required. Lifting ability must be at least 55 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders
14. Follow all rules of conduct at all times
15. Duties will consist of weighing up micro ingredients to maintain ahead on production schedule for half of the required shift, maybe longer if necessary, and to stage (gather hand-add ingredients) hand-add pallets for the mixing operator to cut back in production runs
16. Be capable and willing to be cross trained on both mixing and pellet mill operations for coverage
17. Ability to withstand heights Must be able to ride the caged and belt man lift safely and climb ladders
