The purpose of this position is to:
Support the management of Application Support (run) services for the global portfolio of applications at Takeda. Includes, contract adherence and review of service performance by the supplier.
The development of the UAMS Technology Strategy and Roadmap, and implementation of tools, process, and services for improving the effectiveness of UAMS services.
Transformation of UAMS from traditional run support services to Agile, DevOps, and other Modern Engineering based services.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Define and implement strategies to deliver results related to application service delivery
Develop and implement Strategic Technology Roadmap, Modern Engineering and Innovation concepts in UAMS
Supervise service operations by reviewing reports against contract Key Performance Indicators(KPIs), and taking corrective actions
Establish and Implement Agile and DevOps methodologies for the transformation of UAMS Services
Lead strategic project efforts for Enterprise Application Services group
Lead the Functional Leads and Application Managers to implement and execute processes for pricing and charging of UAMS services
Lead the UAMS Technology Council for decisions and governance of all cross-functional technology implementations such as UAMS Robotic process Automation Bots, Integration with ServiceNow, etc.
Manage implementation of technology solutions that enhances the efficiencies and effectiveness of application support services
Oversee analysis of service volumes and consumption, spend monitoring, and service management activities, as required by application owners and other stakeholders.
Establish, Communicate, and Execute the processes for scope management and UAMS Change Control Governance
Execute strategic direction and planning, service execution, service reporting and ongoing service enhancement.
Identify avenues for continuous improvement for services within scope of responsibility, including new approaches and processes that would contribute both to improvements within department and to business growth/efficiency in the wider organization.
Maintain in-depth working knowledge of business and technology, remain current with emerging industry trends, and envision new capabilities to meet business needs.
Manage strategic communications around service, process, performance, maturity, or technology.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Must have 3-5 years of experience successfully executing an outsourcing engagement and governance program
Project management experience, including management of full lifecycle implementations for major application implementation.
Application management/operations experience.
Communication – ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
Performance Management – ability to utilize data collection and analysis to support data-driven management and fact-based decision-making.
Analytical Skills – ability to analyze a wide variety of data and derive actionable insights.
Management – ability to set priorities, align stakeholder expectations, and develop and execute an associated plan of action
Relationship Management and influence skills – ability to engage effectively with colleagues with different backgrounds and areas of expertise
People Development – ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of direct and indirect staff members and provide suggestions for improvement.

Bachelors or other advanced degree
In-depth Pharmaceutical industry and drug development experience
Experience with validated systems
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is based in Boston
International travel will be required.
Access to transportation to attend various meetings held in proximity to the Takeda offices.
