Job Description:
Huntsman is currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as an Account Manager – Coatings & Construction for our Advanced Materials division with the opportunity to work Remote.
As An Account Manager You Will:
Aggressively maintain and grow the Advanced Materials Coatings and Construction differentiated materials via distribution and direct accounts in the Coatings, Construction and Formulators Markets as well as other select markets as may be assigned.
Sell Huntsman differentiated products to accounts using strategic materials to bring value to the overall portfolio and by applying your technical acumen in this market. This is a road warrior position and travel of 50-75% is anticipated.
Have Technical knowledge of the Coatings and Construction business.
Aggressively establishes and grows a defined direct field sales territory.
Achieve or exceed the territory sales plan accordingly to Business Strategy and budget.
Grow the company’s share of the market by penetrating existing accounts and adding a significant number of new ones.
Aggressively pursue new specification opportunities for our products.
Build, develop and maintain good customer relationships. Manage relationships to Huntsman’s and customer’s mutual advantage.
Uncover new sales opportunities with a heavy emphasis on building a strong sales pipeline. This is a “hunter” position not an account manager role, development of new customers is a key function.
Manage the receivables, DSO, forecasting and over dues in an effective way.
Co-ordinate all activities at customer by various Huntsman interests such as Research and Development, Technical Service or Marketing.
Manage first line response on technical inquiries from customers and direct to technical service appropriately.
Drive pricing to maximize margins while retaining wanted business.
Communicate commercial issues e.g. market news, competitive activity that impact a delivery of the agreed plan, and recommend actions to enhance Huntsman market position.
Prepare reports on all visits to customers using the designated reporting tool and present timely reports to management, detailing selling efforts, customer relationships, competitive activity and strategies, customer service issues, etc. and any other required KPI’s.
Note: This is a “fit” first and geography secondary position. Candidate must also adapt to the AdMat DISQ selling process. We will prioritize selection based on the fit of the candidate over the candidate’s geographic location. However, candidates need to be readily accessible to a major airport.
Key Competencies:
Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, PowerPoint, and Microsoft programs.
Must have 5 years’ experience minimum (10+ preferred) in sales with a solid track record of securing sales.
Aerospace and/or Composite market experience required dealing with prime and subcontractor accounts.
Experience selling epoxy and polyurethane resins, sealants and adhesives is a plus.
Good understanding of market and customer needs.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Ability to manage complex accounts is an asset.
Understanding of financial impacts of commercial decisions essential.
Level of knowledge relating to more than one product line preferred.
Must have experience working with CRM types of applications.”SalesForce” or ‘SAP C4C” knowledge is a plus.
Must be prepared to travel 50 – 75% and have flexibility in working time for days with customer events/entertainment. This is a road warrior position.
Experience in uncovering and securing new accounts is vital to this position and will be a key measure of success in this role.
Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment.
Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
