Job Summary

This position’s main objective is to maintain the accuracy of our book product hierarchy. You will work with both the Merchant and Product Data teams to ensure the accuracy of individual title metadata, while also managing changes to the overall product hierarchy. You have a passion for digging into the fine details of data, exhibit an acute attention to detail, love books, and thinking about how and where books could be categorized to maximize sales and discoverability.

What You Do

• Maintain the accuracy of individual title categorization and metadata, through your own search and recommendations from the stores and merchants.
• Manage changes to the overall product hierarchy, enhancing product discovery online while ensuring alignment with in-store merchandising directives.
• Process title correction requests from the stores, making updates as necessary.
• Identify the root causes of title mis-categorizations and propose solutions for improvement.
• Work cross functionally with the Category Management, Buying, Store Operations, Finance, and Product Data teams to ensure alignment.

Knowledge & Experience

• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, with an understanding of databases a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
• Works well under deadlines, self-starter, innovative.
• 3 years bookselling experience
• Proven analytical skills
• A lifelong passion for books
