Become a Custom Projects Review Lead Engineer working with Customer Programs & Services (“CP&S”) at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. You will provide oversight on SCE’s custom project review process as the Custom Project Review lead for SCE and lead technical/engineering support for the Customized Energy Efficiency (EE) programs area. Come support the development, quantification, maintenance, and quality assurance of EE engineering data used to support activities and measure achievements for SCE customer facing EE programs and Third Party (3P) programs.

Coordinating technical reviews of 3P and SCE-Implemented customized projects as well as coordination with CP&S’ EE Programs and contract managers, BCD (Business Customer Division) and Energy Division Staff at California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
Provide oversight of engineering and savings analysis of complex custom projects.
Coordinating the technical reviews of Customized Projects both within ERA in the
ES as well as with the EE Programs and Commission Staff (CPUC).
This is a critical position that helps the organization better utilize project resources across several
different functions.
The role of this position is focused on helping the ERA team leverage resources and
infrastructure to better serve our customers and stakeholders.
The scope of this job involves keeping the ERA Senior Manager updated with all relevant
developments within the portfolio of customized projects.
One of the primary focus areas for this position will be to review, conduct final quality check and upload project lists and specific custom projects selected by detailed ex ante review by CPUC.
Interface with CPUC ED technical consultants and staff on custom projects.

Qualifications

The Essentials

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical) or equivalent.
Seven years of engineering experience
Five years of experience in managing technical projects focused on energy engineering and energy efficiency.
Three or more years of experience in leading engineering or technical projects.

The Preferred

P.E. License
DSM Program Experience
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential
Experience with Energy Simulation tools
Previous experience in working with CPUC staff and its consultants and understand energy savings calculation methodology for SCE’s programs for different EE project types.
Three or more years of experience in managing vendors, coordinating with technical staff and consultants involved in the development and review of Custom projects and/or Workpapers.
Experience with program support functions (e.g., contract and contracted resource management, integrated schedule management, budget management, division and capital programs forecasting, and reporting functions) with the ability to analyze information and make technically sound decisions.
Master’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative problem-solving ability
LEED Accredited Professional
