Job Description

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Trade/Vocational high school graduate or equivalent; additional courses beyond High School preferred.
1-2 years of job related experience.
Ability to do heavy lifting (50-75 pounds)
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Basic computer skills - Abilty to receive and generate email as needed.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Repairs, adjusts, replaces or maintains Raschel knitting machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with knitting specifications, sketches, operational manuals and/or manufacturer's specifications. 
Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment and machinery.
Provides work direction to less experienced employees.
Communicates with Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager on status of trials, R&D and production machines.
Reports to Shift Supervisor for new job assignments.
Maintains clean work area and observes all safety rules and procedures.
Preforms other related duties as redquired or directed.

OTHER SKILLS/DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:

Expereince with hand tools, power tools, machine shop tools, precision measuring and testing equipment.
Knowledge of yarn, knitting and fabric structure preferred.
Good analytical skills
Basic mathematical skills.
A mechanical aptitude and precision working.
