In this role, you will act as a strategic business partner, owning the sales analytics across Walmart and delivering insights that directly impact financial targets.
Leverages Insights as a transformational catalyst to differentiate JMS’ thought leadership; informs a deep understanding of retailer category and consumer dynamics by optimizing a full suite of descriptive analytics
Understands, analyzes, interprets, and articulates relevant intelligence and data that can be commercialized to drive progress
Partners with Sales to supply analytic inputs and recommendations for Joint Business Planning meetings and quarterly business reviews
Collaborates with Sales to optimize pricing and promotional strategy; assists in the identification of opportunities and competitive threats; builds action plans to mitigate risks; increases account plan accuracy using exception-based reporting
Demonstrates process improvement by simplifying analytics and business intelligence; streamlines and builds a more efficient analytics approach; builds capabilities to deliver on-demand customer specific reporting
Continuously develops own capabilities in Syndicated data, the Trade Promotion Management system, account specific data, JMS financial data, advanced Excel based statistical analysis, and visualization and presentation skills in Spotfire and PowerPoint

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
At least 1 year of experience in Business Analytics (can include internships) with a preference for experience in syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, etc.) and retailer data (Retail Link, Atlas, Madrid, 1010, etc.)
Ability to gather, analyze and present detailed information related to all aspects of business to audiences of diverse experiences
Strong, solution-oriented thinker with project management, critical thinking and communication skills
Passion in championing insights based on data that can support issue resolution and proactive opportunities to drive improvement
Collaborative partner with a keen focus on developing processes and procedures to improve team effectiveness
