How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Finance Specialist will be responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis activities for Delta Technology Portfolios. The Specialist’s responsibilities include development of business unit rolling forecast, monthly close activities and variance reporting, ongoing financial analysis and general finance support to the portfolios.
Key Responsibilities: 
• Maintains a solid understanding of assigned business areas and related strategic objectives, reporting requirements and financial needs
• Interacts daily with operations personnel and develops relationships to maximize results
• Offers solutions to streamline and automate processes
• Supports department's compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements by striving to maintain good internal controls

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

• High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency 
• Embraces Diverse people, thinking and styles
• Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
• Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
• Detail oriented, with strong writing and presentation skills
• Well-developed multi-tasking and organization abilities
• Ability to work with all levels of Finance, Business and IT
• Must possess significant business maturity, the ability to recognize and address problems with the appropriate sense of urgency and the capacity to work independently with minimal instruction or supervision
• Knowledge of accounting treatment for technology (particularly software development)

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

• Knowledge of Delta finance systems including SAP and HFM preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance or related field required. MBA or CPA highly desired
