Summary:

TheQuality Technician samples raw materials and componentsas part of the incoming quality process. This position is also responsible for inspection and testing. This position reports to the Incoming Quality Control Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(these are primary responsibilities of the role and the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned):

* Samplesraw material and components for inspection, QC analysis, andsample requests

* Performsraw material verification on incoming material used in production

* Performsa variety of physical/functional testing, and inspection analysis

* Operatesand maintainsa variety of laboratory equipment(gauges, calipers, comparator etc)

* Verifiesraw material release

* Writesinspection reports

Job Requirements (Education,Experienceand Qualifications):

* High school diploma or GED required

* Experiencein amanufacturingenvironment preferred

* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.)

Physical / Safety Requirements:

* Must be able to lift25 lb

* Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.

* Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends

* Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required

* Positionmayrequire sittingor standing for long periods of time.

* This position requires handling of laboratory chemicals

* Must qualify for 20/25corrected visionand be able to pass a colorblindness test.
