Job Description

What will you do?

Lead the development of “auto pilot” control of major process areas within Mosaic including Sulfuric Acid, Phos Acid, Granulation, Material Handling, etc.  This includes automated startup and shutdown as well as automatic control of a process during stable operations with minimal operator interaction.
Lead the effort required to support deploying Integrated Operations Centers at each of the NA Concentrates locations including expansion/relocation of required HMI’s and deployment of virtualized servers as necessary.
Perform all required DCS/PLC programming and HMI development within Rockwell, Yokogawa, Novatech and Delta V systems.  Facility Automation Specialists will be available to support this effort as needed.
Deploy virtualized server environments as necessary within a VMware environment.
Coordinate with the Facility Automation teams in the design, configuration, and deployment of Automation Systems required to support Digital Deployment Projects.
Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to, PLCs, DCS, Industrial HMI, and establishing communication and control of Variable Frequency Drives and Motor Protection Relays.
Provide after installation support and troubleshooting along with continuous improvement efforts that the Digital Deployment Team may undertake.
Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies and make recommendations based on in-depth knowledge

What do you need for this role?

Bachelor's Degree preferred, major in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field  
9+ years of experience working with DCS/PLC platforms in a process control environment with high school diploma/GED, 7+ years with Associates degree, or 5+ years with Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of troubleshooting PLCs, SCADA, Industrial HMIs, VFDs, Instrumentation, Industrial Wireless, and Industrial Ethernet
5+ years of working with System Integrators
2+ years of design of Industrial Control Systems
Extensive experience with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and MicroLogix PLCs
Extensive experience with RSLogix5000 and RSLogix500 programming software
Extensive experience with Rockwell Automation Industrial HMIs
Extensive experience with Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View SE/ME
Experience with Project Management, Factory Acceptance Testing procedures, System Commissioning, and Startup
Proven experience as lead of a technical team
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
Strong knowledge of High-Performance HMI principles
Strong knowledge of Alarm Management principles
Strong knowledge of Virtual Environments, specifically VMware
Knowledge of Redundant PLC Processors
Knowledge of AutoCAD & Visio
Knowledge of Rockwell Automation PlantPAx
Knowledge of DCS systems
Knowledge of ControlNet, Ethernet/IP, Device Level Ring (DLR), and Modbus communication protocols
Knowledge of OSI PI / Process Book
Knowledge of Industrial Wireless Radios
Knowledge of Windows Servers
