What You Will Do:

As a member of the Sensing Technologies and Guidance Platform Teams, the Principal Systems Engineer will work in close collaboration with the engineering development teams in mechanical, electrical, software, and human factors disciplines. The Principal Systems Engineer will help lead and guide the multidisciplinary teams through concept selection, design development, risk assessment, integration, verification/validation, and finally product launch of robotic systems including embedded software, electronics, complex mechanisms and surgical navigation systems.

In an agile development environment acts a product owner for all tracking technologies and guidance platform technologies integrated in robotics surgery systems

Conducts feasibility studies of complex systems to investigate the applicability of new technologies for future products

Lead the development of tracking / sensing platform system architecture and system level design through the decomposition of the system architecture and requirements from other groups into subsystem requirements.

Works with application teams in a user setting, clearly communicate design goals, and incorporate feedback into designs

Lead the development of test plans, protocols, and detailed test reports for verification and validation activities.

Ensure that traceability of requirements is accurately captured and documented.

What You Need:

BS in Engineering with demonstrated relevant experience in related field. Advanced degree desired.

Minimum of 8+ years’ of career engineering experience

8+ years — Developing test protocols/procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and creating detailed reports. (8+ years)

3+ years — Creating design specifications, requirements definition, system budgets (i.e., Error, Cost or Performance)
