The Production Supervisor - Tubing Team Lead leads a team responsible for the manufacturing of components for commercial nuclear power plants. In partnership with GE Hitachi ?3 Nuclear s safety, quality and technical teams, you will provide leadership for FCOs employee team. You will be responsible for team safety, procedure compliance, product quality, efficient product manufacturing and positive team member engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Production Supervisor - Tubing Team Leader is responsible for the safe operation of the Fuels Components Operations (FCO) dayshift tubing team, ensuring components are fabricated on time, in accordance with quality requirements, and within budget.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Select, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel. Currently, there are 20 + operators and production support personnel.
* Ensure team members are provided adequate training, resources and support to assure safe and compliant manufacturing practices in a nuclear regulated environment
* Be responsible for meeting production teams strict EHS requirements, product quality requirements and production schedule requirements
* Enforce a strong EHS compliance culture with emphasis on employee involvement. Ensure work tasks are performed in accordance with industry standards.
* Lead a strong quality culture compliant to the Quality Management System.
* Assure operation planning - provides direction to support needs of production area, including work assignments, scheduling of overtime, and training
* Support, encourage and facilitate Human Performance (HU) principles. Engrain in the team use of HU tools as it relates to safety and quality. Ensure ongoing evolution of HU, observation programs and training plans to maximize workforce capability.
* High-level utilization of Lean Manufacturing principles to facilitate design and implementation of continuous improvement of processes with the team.
* Work with manufacturing engineering, support functions and manufacturing leadership to provide technical, quality and production leadership. Identify, effectively communicate, and own to resolution issues that may arise.
* Communicate business goals, programs, and processes to shift
* Promote team engagement and ownership, continuous cross-training to improve resource flexibility.
* Develop and support the growth of all team employees
* Serve on the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and assure performance of emergency protocols for FCO product lines.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance leadership role
* OR a high school diploma/ GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance leadership role
* OR a high school diploma/ GED with at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance leadership role and a minimum of 6 years of experience in FCO or FMO Ceramics
* Minimum of 1 year of experience implementing and sustaining continuous improvement/Lean Manufacturing tools with KPI/metrics to drive continuous improvement.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to both resolve daily urgent issues at the same time as working on continuous improvement projects.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
* Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
* Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing certification. Practical experience with identifying opportunities for and designing changes to processes based on Lean. Experience in training and positively influencing teams of workers during implementation of Lean changes.
* GE Program graduate, e.g., OMLP, EEDP (GE employees only).
