ACS Finance is seeking a Finance Specialist to act as the primary financial adviser supporting ACS regional leadership teams. In addition to providing advice and counsel in assessing initiatives, assisting with strategic projects, and managing the annual expenses, the finance leader also communicates with senior management to provide feedback on ongoing financial performance and also make recommendations on how to optimize spending.

Responsibilities include making decisions as to proper accounting treatment, proper drivers of expenses and appropriate methods of analysis and communicating directly with other supporting functions such as purchasing/supply chain, human resources, corporate real estate etc. to clarify procedures related to expenditures for labor, services, materials, etc. 
The ACS finance team member will work in the development of financial indicators for new business activities and identify process improvement opportunities for areas of responsibility and incorporate best practices. 
In line with Delta’s culture, develop both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment that results in employee safety and well-being.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of relevant experience
Previous experience in financial planning, financial reporting, or other finance related position preferred.
Must have a solid understanding of finance and accounting related concepts and should possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Has the ability to produce concise and relevant documents and presentations for senior management through the use of highly proficient written and oral communications skills.
Should be proficient in Windows-based applications, including Excel, Power Point, and Word. Candidate should be proficient in use of Delta finance systems such as SAP and Smart View. Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills required.
Should be able to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently.
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

An MBA or CPA is preferred.
