Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a Per DiemOutpatient Therapist. In this role you will assist patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs and gaining skills through therapeutic treatment to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation and teaching. Carries a caseload of 15-25 patients.Responsibilities for caseload including daily group therapy, case management, treatment planning/updates, crisis intervention, and successful transition of care. Cedar Hills Hospital and Outpatient Servicesis a 98-bed, free-standing psychiatric hospitaljust 15 minutes from Downtown Portland. Cedar Hills Hospital specializesin inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related degree. Experience: Requires 1-2 years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Licensure: None required, but preferred. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR certification, Crisis Management and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
