Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance Logistics

Are you looking to impact the financial and operational plans for a multibillion dollar business? Are you someone that takes the time to understand the story behind why decisions are made? If so, we are looking for someone like you! This role presents the opportunity to be a strategic partner to our global logistics and finance teams by providing the critical analyses needed to support our global supply chains goals and objectives!

Responsibilities:

* Prepare financial models and reporting that facilitate analysis of key initiatives; develop materials that clearly communicate project findings
* Present analysis results across all levels of management, including key members of Finance, Logistics and C-level executives
* Lead analysis of Logistics Strategy in order to provide measurable recommendations that support the organizations goals
* Analyze freight data to produce comprehensive financial forecasts to support both logistics operations and divisional finance teams
* Partner closely with divisional Financial Control, Distribution Services and Store Operations groups on key transportation assumptions and freight drivers
* Evaluate new opportunities for cost mitigation and operational improvement, developing recommendations for TJX leadership

Typical Projects:

* Supply Chain Optimization Scope, evaluate and track key Logistics Cost Savings Initiatives that impact the freight forecast, evaluate potential downstream impacts to distribution centers and stores, and present findings to key partners
* Quarterly Earnings Support Freight analysis and attribution that provides clear and concise insight to TJX freight drivers as part of Quarterly Earnings and Investor/Analyst preparation; This provides direct access to TJX Controller and CFO as we share how freight is impacting total TJX P&L
* TJX U.S. Freight Forecasting Build and maintain freight forecasts for divisional finance teams and logistics operations
* Support Senior Management Presentation preparation and critical metric reporting for Board of Directors and Operational Summit meetings
* Return on Investment Evaluate transportation projects to determine if the projects support the long term growth of the business and meet key investment criteria
* Merchandising Initiatives Determine if certain merchandising initiatives create incremental freight expense or savings

Ideal Candidate:

* 3+ years of professional experience, backgrounds in Finance, Consulting or Logistics/Supply Chain are preferred
* Experience with key financial concepts, including financial statements, attribution analysis, cash flow and return on investment
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Self-starter with strong attention to detail, proven analytical skills and quantitative abilities
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with databases, such as SQL and Access is a plus
* Bachelors degree with majors in Finance, Economics or Logistics/Supply Chain preferred but not required
