The Senior Operational and Technical Training Specialist (Instructional Designer) will partner with T.J. Maxx and Marshalls Field, Home Office and external resources with a focus on developing operational training strategies for all levels of Field/Store Management and Associates. They will be responsible for quality and consistency across the organization, ensuring business priorities are being met. They will act as the project lead for a diverse project portfolio engaging internal and external resources as needed to support training project goals and timelines.

Responsibilities:

* Partner with stakeholders including but not limited to; Field Management, Human Resources, Store Systems and Loss Prevention to assess and identify needs/effectiveness of all field operational and technical training programs.
* Support evolving operational and technical business needs through disciplined project management and the creation of realistic and effective project plans to ensure programs are delivered in a timely and consistent manner.
* Support other departments with their initiatives by analyzing their content and training needs, and figuring out what training materials may be needed, e.g., procedures, Instructor Led Training (ILT), eLearning courses, posters, etc.
* Partner with subject matter authorities to build training materials, facilitate meetings, and prepare for implementation. Capture feedback and evaluate training materials for efficiency and impact on business results. Provide follow-up support as needed.
* Identify training or communication opportunities based on Store Operations reporting and requests. Use ADDIE model to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate operational and technical materials (procedures, ILT, memos, eLearning courses, posters, etc.)
* Prepare and build visuals presentations for Senior Leadership to convey key objectives in a streamline and simplified manner
* Special projects as assigned

Requirements:

* Instructional Design experience, familiarity with Adult Learning and eLearning best practices and tools
* Must have experience with Articulate Storyline and Adobe InDesign
* At least 3 years of operations and / or training experience crafting eLearning courses, training materials, Store Operations experience strongly preferred
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
* Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and visual design
* Developed project management skills, a self-director who can manage timelines and set priorities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment with changing priorities
* Strong communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
* Deep listening and inquiry; seeks to understand and make connections which result in engaging interactions
* Proven track record to build and maintain relationships and to influence others without authority
* Critical thinking and problem solving; the ability to assess situations and provide alternate solutions
