Are you our next Engineering Associate?
To participate in the creation of project scoping documents, engineering specifications, arrangement and detailed drawings, construction management documents and purchasing specifications for engineering projects. Position may manage purchase of material for assigned projects. Position manages or participates in the management and field oversight of construction activities related to engineering projects. Candidate will be expected to spend approximately 30% of time in the field and 70% of time in the office per job requirements.
What will you do?
* Creates simple arrangement and detailed fabrication drawings for engineering projects which meet the appropriate standards and codes, under the direction of various engineers and designers. Coordinates design with various engineers if project complexity warrants
* Maintains drawing filing system, both electronic and hard copy. Maintains the equipment folder structure and assists in creating new folders and placing vendor information in the appropriate folder
* Issues drawing numbers to outside engineering firms and provides them with the appropriate drawing templates, font files, drafting standards, etc. to allow drawings from outside engineering firms to comply with Mosaic drafting standards. Serves as document control person for the exchange of drawings and other information with outside engineering firms
* Prints, scans and copies documents for engineers and field crews as required for various projects. Participates in the creation of other fabrication/construction documents as required y various engineers
* Participates in the creation of purchasing specifications. Assists various engineers with quoting and expediting material for assigned projects
What do you need for this role?
* High School/GED is required
* Associate's degree in engineering or drafting is highly desirable
* A minimum of two years of experience in engineering is required
* Must exercise good communication skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn. Consideration must be given to safety, work environment, operational efficiency, maintenance and reliability
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and other CAD software
* Familiarity with CADWorx is a plus
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
