Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Center of Excellence (COE) Product Support Team Engineer located in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Integrated Product Team of Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management for issues related to the suppliers of components and sub-assemblies for Center of Excellence in support of the Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) Program.
Position Responsibilities
Include
* Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies
* Refine, validate, coordinate and implement conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build
* Develop manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization
* Conduct complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
* Resolve complex technical problems
* Serve as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained
* Lead advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities
* Deploy company Lean Enterprise analysis methods
* Document and communicate producibility best practices
* Provide guidance to others through structured mentoringThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
* Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
* Willing to travel domestically as needed
Typical Education/Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience, Master7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
