General Purpose of Job
The Director, Actuarial Data Delivery, provides leadership, direction and functional expertise to ensure Actuarial data needs are being delivered by Information Management. S/he will direct and provide subject matter expertise on the design and execution of actuarial data use cases for his/her assigned area(s). In addition, s/he will contribute to the development of actuarial data strategy and ensure the design and execution of actuarial data use cases to enable and support fact based decision making.
Role and Responsibilities
* Partnering with IT, lead the design, development and creation of actuarial data in CornerStone, the data foundation for Group Protection
* Anticipates and provides strategies/solutions to complex actuarial data problems or trends.
* Directs actuarial data projects with broad impact to the enterprise, delegating work and providing appropriate levels of support and responsibility to employees.
* Leads the research, design and implementation of actuarial data solutions to support current/future business needs.
* Partners with various actuarial functions in meeting their data needs in CornerStone
* Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
* Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
* Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Education
* 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required
Certifications
* FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years actuarial experience -Upon Hire
Experience
* 7+ Years of experience in actuarial science that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
* 7+ years progressive hands-on experience in analysis, design, development and delivery of actuarial data solutions, including SQL, data modeling, relational databases, data marts, data load processes and visualizations of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills.
* Proficiency working with modern data & analytics technologies(e.g. AWS, Dataiku, Alteryx, Tableau etc)
* Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior/executive management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
* Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
* Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
