Project Manager, Global Privacy

Facebook seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve on the Facebook Global Privacy team as a project manager. The role is a great opportunity for any candidate who is eager to tackle some of todays toughest and important legal challenges in this dynamic industry. The successful candidate will be joining a growing global legal team and working on issues in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. The role will focus on managing cross-functional legal projects directed at the identification and mitigation of legal risk across our family of products in response to new privacy regulations and other legal obligations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex data protection or other compliance projects, good judgment, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law.

Project Manager, Global Privacy Responsibilities

* Support the Global Privacy Team, who work with cross-functional partners (Legal and non-Legal) and on cross-functional projects, by leading multiple work streams and multiple projects

* Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of project activities and delivery

* Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities

* Demonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with Legal leadership on strategy

* Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines

* Propose solutions to manage client expectations and manage scope throughout the delivery of the project

* Drive standardization of delivery and activities to provide efficient service

* Demonstrate sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted time frame

* Integrate and synthesize information from multiple teams, including product, legal and policy domain knowledge, to analyze complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Technology or a related field

* 10+ years of program/project management experience

* 4+ years of experience working on legal, compliance, privacy, and/or security related projects

* Experience with regulatory and compliance matters (e.g., privacy, antitrust and competition issues, regulatory compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience managing a diverse set of stakeholders and cross-functional teams from project initiation through close

* Experience leading departmental and enterprise-wide projects

* Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and trends impacting technology companies with respect to privacy and security frameworks

* PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certifications

* Data privacy experience and law degree
