Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Supply Chain Technician I. The Supply Chain Services (SCS) Tech I performs key primary supply distribution roles in the Supply Chain Services department and throughout the facility. The SCS Tech I is responsible for ensuring consistent and accurate delivery of supplies to the facility department areas as well as engaging in Perpetual Inventory maintenance and documentation. We have a 2 week training program for this job where you will work alongside veteran employees in our Supply Chain area to gain the necessary knowledge to be independent in this role.

This full time role is located in downtown Dallas at the Baylor University Medical Center.

Schedule: Second Shift 2:30 pm to 11 pm Mon-Fri plus one weekend per month. On your working weekend you will work 12 hour shifts and have Wed, Thurs, Fri off in exchange.

In addition, the SCS Tech I performs other necessary Supply Chain Services distribution roles and responsibilities including the following:

Performs consistent and timely delivery of products to facility departments

nn

nn

Performs all replenishment and distribution processes within the Lawson System with accuracy and attention to detail an efficient and timely manner. Processes and resolves all necessary Lawson Issues/Returns accuratel.

Maintains orderly and organized work area to facilitate efficient processes and staff cross-training opportunities

nn

Maintains ownership of supply par inventory volume trends and makes adjustments as directed by appropriate Supply Chain Supervisor/Manager/Director

Checks supplies for condition of products, correct catalog numbers, quantities, expiration dates, and sizes of items

nn

Ensures accurate tracking of supply data such as back orders, manufacturer numbers, expiration dates, product recalls, lot numbers, etc. as needed

Engages in problem-solving processes to ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory Quantities-on-Hand, performs perpetual inventory cycle counts and ensures accurate Quantities-on-Hand in par replenishment areas

Performs all necessary patient-charging functions as instructed by SCS Supervisor/Manager/Director

Picks up and delivers patient equipment

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel), and is able to operate handling equipment including hand-trucks, pickers, pallet jacks, and other powered warehouse equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
n
nEDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent or greater is required
n
nEXPERIENCE - Minimum/no experience is required but 6 months + in a supply chain, procurement, logistics or similar role is preferred

SKILLS - basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are expected

nn

In this role you will be on your feet most of your workday and must be able to lift 50 pounds and move heavy equipment on wheels.
