We use state of the art highspeed cold forming equipment to produce blind installed threaded inserts and studs.

Position Summary

Under the mentorship of Dir of Quality, QA Eng. CoOp undertakes projects directed at specific topics such as production throughput improvement and various projects related to scrap. We are looking for an energetic Mechanical or Industrial engineer to join our team. Position will work within the quality department to ensure the quality of our system, operational efficiency and the satisfaction of our customers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Create a system that monitors and analyzes the collection of scrap on products during various operations such as cold heading, tapping, plating, etc. (Define types of waste in manufacturing)
Analyze rejected product from the sorting process to provide a feedback loop to manufacturing with a goal to improve the manufacturing process.

Updating company production operational procedures and work instructions to ensure company goals are achieved.

Establish test parameters for new development projects to assist management in ensuring products are reliable and function per customer requirements.

Must maintain charts, graphs and other data required to measure progress and timing to clarify projects as assigned.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Initiate zero defect approach in manufacturing process looking for opportunities throughout the process to find defects prior to final inspection.

Contribute and participate in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949compliance audit.

Experience & Education

Current student pursuing a bachelors degree in mechanical, industrial systems engineering.
Critical problem analysis, decision making and analytical abilities.
Must be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to achieve the program goals.

Required Skills

The ability to analyze statistical data.
Produced basic project timelines.
Good written and verbal communication skill.
Perform other duties as assigned.
