Description
The digital channel individual contributor is responsible for, but not limited to, for preparing and recording month end journal entries, preparation of account reconciliations, responding to inquiries, and researching and resolving inventory reconciliation issues and inventory reserves as well as reporting and analyzing of inventory for the digital business. This individual will also be responsible for balancing multiple inventory systems. This individual will also be responsible for operational inventory related tasks while working cross-functionally with individuals in non-finance departments, across all levels.
Responsibilities:
* Research and resolve distribution center inventory related issues
* Prepare select journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation schedules
* Reconcile and analyze certain balance sheet accounts
* Reconcile and maintain inventory related expense accounts and ensure appropriate accruals each month
* Maintain financial and operational controls and procedures
* Support inventory transfers between channels, gift with purchase lifecycle, aged inventory, cost adjustments, and bundling/relabeling
* Partner with internal and external auditors to provide support of financial transactions
* Analyze large amounts of data in order to summarize activity to report business performance, identify issues, risks and trends, and suggest business decisions to leadership
* Consult with business partners on financial processes/issues and provide key thinking points to make informed decisions based upon sound financial principles
* Provide balance sheet variance explanations to Financial Reporting monthly
* Reconcile inventory across multiple inventory systems
* Prepare various adhoc inventory related reports for partners across the Enterprise
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Must be detail oriented with demonstrated analytical and technical skills
* Consistency with accuracy/quality of work
* Independently manage daily activities and issue resolution
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
* 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, inventory management experience a plus
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, SAP experience a plus
