Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is the only free-standing, full-service psychiatric hospital in the Greater Birmingham, Ala area. Hill Crest's campus-like setting provides an active, positive treatment environment for patients and their families. Drawing from a rich tradition in treating psychiatric illness for more than 80 years, Hill Crest remains on the cutting edge of new developments and offers a full continuum of care for both inpatient and outpatient: acute child, adolescent, and adult. Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services also offers residential treatment for adolescents (ages 12 - 17) from Alabama and other states in need of long-term treatment, due to severe behavioral, emotional and/or family problems.

Hill Crest Behavioral Health is currently seeking an energetic and dynamic professional to join our team as a Receptionist. Performs primary focused Receptionist duties to include supportive clerical tasks as assigned.
*SHIFT - Every Other Weekend 2:30pm - 9:30pm
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates ability to coordinate hospital communication
* Answers all calls in a prompt and courteous manner
* Routes all calls to appropriate destination
* Has knowledge of fire control panel and adheres to policies and procedure
* Courteously greets all visitors entering the facility
* Notifies inpatient units of visitors outside of regular hours
* Notifies appropriate persons when scheduled appointments arrive
* Appropriately distributes hospital mail
* Schedules use of hospital meeting rooms
* Maintains visitor sign-in logs
* Maintains confidentiality
* Keeps visitor card current on all inpatients
* Allows only appropriate persons access to inpatient unit
* Creates various Word, Excel documents as needed
* Assures all callers/visitors have correct patient ID number
* Has knowledge of Hospital codes
* Call and Document Hospital codes as they occur
* Keep facilities keys secured at all times
Qualifications
*SHIFT - Every Other Weekend 2:30pm - 9:30pm
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Knowledge of all phases of telephone and telecommunication services
* Ability to handle light typing and clerical duties
* Knowledge of Computer Applications
* Positive guest relations demeanor
* Experience and workable knowledge of general office procedures
* New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
* Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug screen.
