In this role John Deere is seeking an E-Commerce product owner who will represent the voice of the customer, define product functionality and set priorities to ensure the team is delivering the highest-value features.

Responsibilities:

Represents the voice of the customer to the product team with a deep understanding of customers product needs and what technology-based capabilities are required to meet those needs.

* Maintains and prioritizes the product backlog to ensure that the team is working on features that maximize business value and deliver necessary functionality to their customers.
* Collaborates with the business, Engineering Managers and product teams, to define product functionality and priorities.
* Uses global processes to thoroughly understand the scope, complexity and dependencies of the business and what product functionality is needed.
* Communicates with the Product Manager to ensure alignment across products within a product family. Is responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to decommission. This level typically has responsibility for up to 2 scrum teams; Product complexity and impact (Measured Business Value) are medium;
* Understands technical topics at a conceptual level as well as the systems and data that enable major capabilities and drives innovation;
* Understanding of eCommerce and Content platforms and capabilities
* Requires deep understanding of the inner-workings of the technology products and an underlying understanding of the technologies leveraged to deliver those products.

Required Qualifications:

* 3+ years experience in the design, development, testing, and integration of high complex software solutions using Python, web sockets, and Restful APIs
* Strong understanding of customer needs and business strategy
* Ability to understand how technology can be applied to streamline business processes, drive value and create efficiencies
* 3+ years experience in a product strategy role or requirements intake role
* Experience influencing without authority
* Experience leading change management efforts within a dispersed business organization
* Demonstrated experience articulating the tangible and intangible business value of outcomes
* Demonstrated capability to speak with impact at all levels of the organization
* Strong understanding of technical terms, processes, and practices of products within scope
* Experience using data or requirements analysis to prioritize work
* Experience in and willingness to operate in Agile delivery frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with image processing and associated tools (OpenCV)
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
* Experience in Information Technology and software development or deployment practices
* Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25%
* Rally, Confluence, prioritization mechanism tool knowledge
* High level knowledge of the end to end digital customer experience
* Proactive collaborator with other product owners supporting the e-commerce end to end customer journey
* Evaluates product usability and responds to user feedback by altering backlog or providing communication
* Uses quantitative data (using analytics) to inform feature prioritization
