As the Environmental Air Principle, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of environmental systems and programs, coupled with hands-on involvement to ensure the company, businesses and manufacturing facilities comply with all applicable environmental-related requirements.

As the Environmental Air Principle, you will:

* Highly sought after as a leading SME for several environmental disciplines but certainly for Clean Air Act expertise.
* Effectively manage a portfolio of projects while reporting and updating appropriate audiences.
* Take responsibility for developing a robust and value-added professional staff that provides subject matter expertise where needed to ensure company meets its compliance obligations.
* Engage effectively with other disciplines (e.g., Legal) to ensure coordinated and effective outcomes.
* Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Foresees and resolves many potential bottlenecks and delays oftentimes in coordination with other disciplines.
* Use sound and compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others. Based on situational expertise, recognizes when compromise is necessary and shifts approach to accommodate others when appropriate.
* Apply comprehensive knowledge and skills to work collaboratively while providing guidance and training to others on the development of a knowledge management system that can help the organization achieve its goals by collecting and using the information, data and intellectual resources of its employees.
* Actively participates in trade group advocating on behalf of Huntsman. Can lead industry working groups.
* Apply expertise to act as the organizational authority on identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing risks in a production process.
* Operate as a recognized expert to analyze potential solutions and create recommendations that ensure compliance based on the expected benefits, costs, and overall value of the solution for key stakeholders. Typically known as a subject matter authority.

Education and Skills Required:

* Bachelors degree in Science/Engineering with 20+ years of relevant experience in multi-disciplinary U.S. environmental regulatory practice, preferably with augmented international regulatory experience.
* Acts as a organizational subject matter authority and established expert on the companys obligations under the U.S. Clean Air Act, including applicable federal, state and local regulations, permit conditions, etc. Works effectively with Legal to ensure that the interpretation and application of regulated mandates are complied with effectively and consistently throughout the organization as applicable.
* Build and maintain a Title V workgroup within the US. Assess what values obtained from Title V workgroup can be effective and have application to non-major sources within the company. Track and interpret air quality regulations and provide proactive advise to management on potential concerns and issues.
* Acts as the organizational authority and SME on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
* Communicates effectively on complicated and technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide training and mentoring to others on a global basis.
* Applies expertise to serve as the organizational authority, in coordination with senior management and Legal, on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
* Proven experience in complex environmental compliance systems development and implementation.
* Applies expertise to act as the organizational authority on conducting compliance audits, identifying exceptions, and developing specific solutions or recommendations.
* Provides expert reviews of existing environmental systems to improve reliability, functionality, and sustainability.
* Experience in developing environmental knowledge management system/ programs.
* Advises senior managers and above, including EHS management and the companys EHS Global Leadership Group, on technical matters and regulatory topics. Influences industry peers and regulatory agencies globally; Applies expertise to act as a SME on identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing environmental risks in manufacturing process.
