Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and you will directly support and promote our brand and reputation. Through internal communications, public relations and corporate communications, youll provide a wide range of marketing and communications services to internal and external audiences. These include current and future clients, our current and future employees, alumni, regulators, the media and the communities within which we operate.

The opportunity

You will be recognized for your deep communications knowledge, insight and experience. Youll spearhead the development and implementation of internal and external communications to support business objectives for their respective markets, public relations, functional practices or internal clients. You will be expected to team closely with internal stakeholders, journalists and other external relationships along with serving as a primary contact for all communications initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

Youll be expected to manage the day to day communications function for people, quality and growth within EYs Americas Communications. You will be responsible for building and cultivating strong trusted advisor relationships with key internal stakeholders to provide communications support to meet approved business goals and objectives. Frequently at the table with leadership when key business issues are discussed, you will liaise with Americas and Global BMC Leaders to ensure EY experience is effectively represented through visuals and language in order to drive consistent messaging. You will be responsible for devising and executing the communications strategy and plans, managing teams and budgets, advising leadership and reporting on results and value of communication efforts.

Skills and attributes for success

* Ability to develop a comprehensive, targeted and streamlined communications strategy, including annual communications plans, calendars, timelines, and budgets to meet strategic objectives
* Provide strategic direction for our Distinctive EY experience communications
* Develop a communication strategy for our commitment to special Talent projects including future of work and related initiatives
* Ability to present complex ideas and anticipate potential objections by leveraging experience, insight and creativity to influence others to consider innovative solutions by presenting alternatives when obstacles and objections arise
* Able to anticipate and communicate ramification of decisions and issues to project stakeholders
* Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, including the ability to select, manage and develop a team of communications professionals
* Leverage extensive experience and deep insight to deftly advise and influence leadership on the optimal use of communications to share best practices, build the business and create a shared and inspirational vision

To qualify for the role, you must have

* Minimum of 10 plus years of communications experience is required
* Bachelors degree with a Communications or related major or equivalent experience
* Must be able to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise and easily digestible manner for broad audiences
* Mastery of written and oral communications skills
* Excellent presentation, listening and interpretation skills
* Excellent project management skills
* Ability to assume leadership role for large projects and identify and manage key resources needed to execute

Ideally, youll also have

* Extensive knowledge of business-to-business communications
* Ability to explore innovative uses of technology to achieve goals and stay at forefront of best-in- class communications practice
* Adept at developing and executing public relations plans and initiatives such as media relations for coverage of EYs public sponsorships and events, crisis management, local office awareness, community involvement, alumni relationships and sponsorships
* Able to monitor and measure tracking data to ensure effectiveness of all plans and adjust as needed
* Comfort with collaborating with colleagues across the Americas to promote consistency knowledge sharing and best practices
