Compensation: $16.37/hr
POSITION PURPOSE
Invoices services for payments and enters data from source documents. Responsible for preparing patient records for billing, submitting claims, posting payments into EMR and/or following up with payers in a timely and accurate manner. This position is also responsible for providing customer service to patients and coworkers in regards to patient accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC
Ensures duties are done timely and error free to result in prompt and accurate billing
Posts payments to client accounts when applicable
Makes corrections to accounts when applicable
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for services provided
Reviews accounts receivable aging for appropriate follow up action
Manages time and duties appropriately to result in timely billing to payers
Insures timely follow-up on denied accounts and complete appeals as needed
Remains current on insurance/payers billing requirements
Communicate with payers, patients and co-workers in regards to patient accounts
Works various reports as needed
Attends additional training as needed
Other duties as assigned
