Job Description

As a Mass Spectrometrist, you will collaborate with team members globally to develop new products in the packaging space. As a specialist in mass spectrometry who designs and carries out experiments independently; you'll carry a dynamic workload, using communication and organizational skills to determine prioritization and manage resource capacity.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead development, validation and optimization of mass spectrometry methods for analysis of food and beverage packaging coatings.
* Collaborate with business and technical collaborators to understand priorities, solve problems and communicate findings.
* Deliver high quality results, conclusions, and recommendations.
* Demonstrate and model leadership behaviors including customer focus, accountability, ownership, partnership, integrity and engagement.
* Suggest and implement process improvements with passion and dedication!
* Maintain a close-knit safe working environment while ensuring the lab follows safety protocols.
* Communicate results and conclusions to partners (both internal and external), driving research and enabling sales.

Qualifications

* Ph.D. in Chemistry, materials science, physics, engineering or related subject area (Analytical Chemistry preferred)
* Industrial work experience.
* In-depth understanding of mass spectrometry.
* Ability to lead the development and implementation of quantitative mass spectrometry techniques to determine amounts of extracted small molecules of interest
