Contracts expert, recognized as a highly adaptive and critical thought leader. Recommends critical strategies for contract matters. Communicates with top executives on matters of strategic importance during contract proposals. Ensures best practices are used when focusing on the achievement of business results through contract and legal action and activities. Candidate must be a good team player, capable of adapting contracting approach in environment with rapidly changing digital technologies and competing priorities.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Advises and represents the organization on contract matters related to emerging analytics software, aircraft routers, and cybersecurity products and service offerings.
* Creates proposals, negotiates and executes complex customer contracts, including intellectual property licensing.
* Provides contracts advice on a variety of topics including warranty and contract administration.
* Prepares documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships.
* Prepares applications for new contracts, as needed.
* Maintains historical contractual records.
* Sets strategies for and complex proposals and contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.
* Provides strategic analysis, recommendations, and advice related to contract matters.
* Collaborates with contract managers to coordinate input from other organizations during the sales campaign process.
* Reviews analysis to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
* Advises the top leadership on contract policies, procedures, controls and compliance with regulations and requirements.
* Advises on proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
* Manages multiple medium to large sized projects.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR
* Advance degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR
* In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is Required
* Must be willing to travel up to 25%
* Must be a US Person/Permanent Resident Green Card Holder
Preferred Qualifications:
* Cybersecurity or telecommunications experience a plus
* Juris doctorate a plus
