Job Description

Responsibilities Support Digital and IT Strategy Communications, with a focus on execution of strategic communications, writing, and visual presentation of information Support development and implementation of clear, concise, and consistent content to explain objectives and initiatives around the digital and IT strategies Support creative storytelling methods to build awareness and excitement for Information Technology and digital transformation initiatives Support the visual design of materials (PowerPoints, infographics, etc.) for senior vice president and chief digital and information officer (CDIO), and CDIO staff as capacity allows Co-manage the internal Corning digital and IT communications tools/platforms and increase engagement / viewership Co-develop and lead communications planning and strategy for chief information security officer, and implement and execute effective, consistent content to explain and build awareness around the Digital and Information Security teams scope and key initiatives Co-develop and facilitate in-person and virtual events for IT teams and Corning enterprise audiences Ensure communications follow corporate brand guidelines, across all channels Provide change management communications support for digital and IT, as needed Drive a data and analytics strategy for all communications and build regular reports Required Skills Ability to lead, organize, and prioritize Excellent verbal communication skills Strong writing and editing abilities, including proficiency in Associated Press style Capacity to work well under pressure with ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines Ability to assess priorities and manage many projects simultaneously Excellent organizational skills, detailed-oriented Self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and a commitment to delivering outstanding work Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Capable of working independently and interdependently Confident advocate of new ideas Soft Skills Self-motivated to achieve excellence Strong interpersonal skills, especially in listening, problem solving, and influencing Effective at teambuilding and leadership Customer-focused Ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate different global time zones Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with changing requirements Travel Less than 5% Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, or another related field required. Minimum three-five years of communications experience, preferably in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or communications-related field.
