Ashland LLC, a $3.4BN global specialty chemical company has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Security Architect to join our global IT team in the Cincinnati area or Dublin OH site. The Cloud Security Architect ensures the overall health and strong security posture of complex business processes and architectures. This position will be actively involved with all phases of security design, implementation, dedicated monitoring, troubleshooting and analysis of security controls and policies. Develops incident response platforms, procedures, threat intelligence gathering, training and mentoring of individuals. It is a highly visible position requiring interactions across IT and the global Ashland business.

This position can be 100% remote

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Cloud Security Transformation:

* Lead the migration from private cloud to public cloud, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments
* Transform the existing best in class Intel, detection, and automation capabilities to be public cloud enabled
* Play a central role in the selection of cloud technologies, develops transformation, and security policies within the business and IT

Project management and technical hands-on:

* Strong project management skills and proven track record of large project implementations
* Willingness to take the lead in project direction, technical design and outcomes
* Directly contribute to IT direction and strategy

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

* Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
* Two years or more of experience in the security field highly desirable.
* Technical experience with administration and configuration of cloud technologies highly desirable
* Extensive project management skills required
* Demonstrated experience in computer security combined with risk analysis, audit, and compliance objectives.
* Experience working with information security practices, networks, software, and hardware.
* Excellent verbal and communication skills.
* Ability to multi-task, discerns patterns in details.
* Think through problems for logical solutions and remain calm and professional under stress.
* Strong decision-making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations.
* Able to work with highly confidential information.
* Ability to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies.
* Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
