Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Level 2 Aircraft Structures Mechanic. This position will be located in Hunstville, AL and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Change Management Team. Learn more about the GBSD program here

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off
What Youll Get To Do:
* Troubleshoot, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.
* Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions.
* Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various missile systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and regulations.
* Maintains required records, manuals and inspection forms.
* Work is usually done without established procedures.
* Provides direction and guidance to lower level non exempt employees. Often designated as lead worker.
* Duties amp; tasks are usually varied and complex. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.
Qualification
Youll Bring These Qualifications:
* Advanced knowledge in specialized manufacturing functions.
* A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
* High School education and 6 years of manufacturing experience.
* Active DoD Secret Clearance
* Strong problem solving skills
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
* Technical leadership experience, direction and mentoring to other technical employees
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
