Job Description
Job Responsibilities
A Product Engineer 2 will have the opportunity to work and collaborate across different organizations to resolve technical, quality, and production challenges, as well as develop excellence in product design and manufacturing.
Responsible for designing and developing product/ product family
Assist in new product introduction and production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production
Interface with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems
Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields
Audit and document supply base performance on critical process of records and overall quality management systems
Other Job Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
Ability to complete tasks and learn the required skills with minimal guidance
Solid understanding of statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production setting
Comfortable with travelling
Must have exceptional analytical and experimental design skills
Prior experience with MS office tools (ppt, excel, project), statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including experience in the areas of mechanical engineering and chemical engineering
Previous experience in project management
