Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Production Specialists will be required to complete various job tasks at any given time:

* Settler
* Slicer
* Splitter
* Crumbs
* Inspector
* Duster
* Sanitation Processing
* Production Specialist Relief; Processing and Packaging

Individual must be capable of the following:

* Must have a good understanding of both Processing and Packaging job duties for this class (see below).
* Must be able to communicate well with others.
* Trash compactor training.
* Responsible for adhering to Quality Assurance standards
* Must be able to work overtime as required by the company. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts as needed.
* Follow all company standards of conduct expectations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities: Packaging area

* Perform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on the lines.
* Settle bags of product into cartons to ensure smooth transition through the Tri-Sealer.
* Open light weight bags of product and add back to the line by using the re-feed conveyor.
* Hand pack or hand palletize product if caser goes down or during special runs such as bulk pack, etc.
* Communicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor and Maintenance.

Responsibilities: Processing area

* Responsible for overall quality of product.
* Must be able to perform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on the lines.
* Open boxes of fish and feed fish into the splitter or slicer.
* Keep line full of fish.
* Discard ingredient bags and boxes into their designated areas.
* Maintain proper duster, breader and applicator levels
* Complete required paperwork concerning vendor and lot numbers for dry ingredients and fish.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Education and / or Experience:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; balance; stoop; kneel; twist; and crouch. Candidate must be able to climb stairs and steps. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
