How will you make an impact?
Spray finish / Powder paint on automatic paint conveyor line. Loads cabinets, kits and components onto the automatic paint conveyor line to ensure optimum coverage of finish. Pulls parts according to request made by the assembly lines. Removes painted parts and delivers parts and kits to specified departments. Inspect parts for defects, touches up paint as required. Conducts paint tests for quality control. Cross train on other positions within the department as needed.

What will you do?

* Follows paint production schedule to determine parts to load. Receives instructions on parts to be painted and fills paint hopper with specified powder as needed, matching paint number with part number. Checks spray gun adjustments such as air/paint mixture, pressure gauges, and fluid control. Adjusts paint line speed after completion of interior white paint. Conducts paint test on every color change for quality control, complete daily log and tags as needed. Adjusts paint line speed after completion of interior white paint. Coats parts with powder paint in the prescribed manner in accordance with the cosmetic acceptance criteria.

* Inspect parts in the staging area to verify that the proper identification (part number, quantity, color and destination) is present. Utilizes different protective supplies to make certain all parts delivered to the assembly lines are free of any dings / dents, scratches, and scuff marks. Delivers painted parts and kits to specified department or stores in designated racksStages all nonconforming material in the appropriate nonconforming materials area. Completes appropriate internal control documents.

* Reorders raw materials and finished parts using the Kanban inventory system. Maintains Supermarket racks and inventory accuracy using the correct part numbers and bin locations. Moves units or positions pieces manually or using work aids such as handtrucks or forklifts.

* Hazards 2013 Exposed to potential hazards including pinch points, fall hazards, chemical exposure and general safety issues associated with manufacturing. Works in hot, cold, dusty, elevated and noisy area. Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations on line as requested by supervisor. Cross training and flexibility required.

* Performs all duties using required safety procedures and equipment according to company policies and practices within guidelines of ISO standards, quality, and safety. Maintains clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety and efficiency.

* Engages, initiates, and suggest initiatives that support team goals and continuous improvement in process.

* Communicates effectively within cell or with other departments to relay key information. Open to and asks for suggestions of others regarding production issues and goals.

* Performs all job duties consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values, serves as a role model in the workplace. Trains and mentors new employees or transitioning workers in the area.

* Utilizes computer systems to check e-mail, complete on line training and complete Performance Management and Development (PMD) annual review process.

How will you get there?

* Requires high school diploma or GED.

* Standing, bending, reaching and handling bulky parts is common to the job. Frequently lifts up to 35 pounds. Good eye/hand and foot coordination is required.

* Beginner Computer skills or willingness to learn.

* Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3- 6 month manufacturing experience preferred.

* General knowledge of spray finish tools and processes is preferred.
