Quality Engineer

Job Purpose:

Sanmina is looking for an ambitious person to fill a Quality Engineer position in our Austin, Tx location. The position will perform data analysis of manufacturing operation at all levels of parts, raw materials and maintenance operations to ensure quality standards are met.

Nature of Duties

* Ongoing improvement processes.
* Quality Control of products, approval of starting production lines, In-process control, testing that the products fit spec.
* Analyzing customer complaints.
* Workers instructing as of quality issues.
* Preparing and improving procedures and working manners, preparing flow diagrams.
* Making decisions about rejections, sorting and products approval.
* Follows all safety and health guidelines/rules for the machine shop.
* Keeps work area clean by sweeping, wiping down machines, etc.
* Follows the 5s procedures for department.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in a related discipline.
* Certification from the American Society for Quality as a Certified Quality Engineer preferred.

* More than 5 years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
* Must be able to verbally communicate.
* Ability to use basic software application such as Microsoft Office and other various types of software required.
